Bio

A passionate leader and pioneer in the world of sepsis care, I am the Regional Sepsis Program Manager at Kaiser Permanente, where I lead with a vision to transform patient safety and outcomes. For six years, my dedication has been a driving force behind innovative, life-saving programs that have set new benchmarks in healthcare quality and efficiency. My approach is data-driven and human-centric, ensuring clinically excellent and empathetic care.
In parallel, Tijerina Consulting is where my knowledge and expertise in healthcare strategy and operational excellence come to life, guiding organizations to solutions that leave a lasting impact on lives and systems. My consulting work is an extension of my commitment to healthcare excellence, focusing on sepsis program development and performance improvement through a blend of systems, learning, and leadership solutions.

As a BRN-approved nursing educator (M-S, G), I shape the future of nursing at Unitek College and, until recently, Samuel Merritt University. I bring real-world insights into the classroom, fostering a learning environment where the science of caring is paramount. The primary purpose of education it to ensure students are equipped with the knowledge, compassion, and critical thinking skills necessary to excel in the dynamic healthcare field.
